FOR THE COMMUNITY
Sneaker Girls Club is all about community empowerment and fostering relationships with young women from those communities; to celebrate them; inspire them; and become apart of collective culture where women can inspire, create, design, and impact other women of color.
Personally, my community is the most important to me in every setting that I am in. From leaving an educational community where I focused on the culture and investment in my people of color to my home community of Windsor Hills in Los Angeles, where we value our special neighborhood and want to create generational wealth and black empowerment to the Brooklyn community, where the sneaker culture is fierce, but women sneaker designers are underrated. Bridging the gap from men designing women’s sneakers to a women’s collective that can design and create and feel empowered in doing so.
